From November 17th Brastel releases its new service−UNITEE−an ISP-free interconnection service that links the public and internet phone networks

From November 17th Brastel expanded its IP phone business to the next level with the release of the new service UNITEE, an ISP-free interconnection service that links the public and the internet phone networks.

FMC (Fixed-Mobile Convergence) literally means the convergence of fixed-line and mobile-phone networks. With UNITEE we want to present the next generation, the FMIC (Fixed-Mobile-Internet Convergence).

Brastel’s UNITEE had TOHO Cinemas Ltd. as its first client. Brastel attached a Private ENUM* (050 IP numbers) to TOHO’s internal Asterisk server—an open source IP phone server software—allowing the connection to external lines at costs more economical than before.
