Brastel releases a new Free Less access number

Users of Brastel Telecom< http://www.brastel.com > placing their calls through NTT lines−major phone company providing domestic calls in Japan−will now be able save a little more.

Free Less is one of the different types of access numbers offered by Brastel.
Customers will pay low international phone rates and will be billed separately for the domestic part (from their home to the access points) by their local phone provider.

Until now there were three Free Less access numbers in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya that was very reasonable for customers calling within those cities but not as much for those far from it as NTT rates are based on distance and time.

With the release of the 050-prefix number, customers calling from outside those areas will be able to save on the domestic portion as rates are fixed, no matter the distance or time, almost as economical as placing a local call.

Example of a call during daytime to Tokyo:
Local call within Tokyo (23 wards): ￥8.5 / every 3 min.
Long-distance call up to 20km: ￥20 / 90 sec.

Calling to the new Free Less 050 number: ￥10.8 / 3 min. (no matter the distance or time)
